In the user meeting participated from more than world 20 countries, we were able to listen to the practical use examples of powder prototyping product in various fields of each country such as Medical Care, Sports, and Engineering Works.
From the field of Medical Care, the positioning Jig which is used for stiletto processing for bolts of a bone fracture; from Sports, the sole of the custom spiked shoes to fit each soccer player well; from Engineering Works, the water quantity gauge of the sewer, was announced in the meeting.
There is a common point of a little mass production product or a one-off product in these examples. It is the same thing with us. Our company also handles a trial product of one-off ordered by a designer, and remodeling of a small quantity mass production product instructed with a card, or those products which is equivalent to a handmade product.
Since a prototyping machine produces a product from 3D data directly, it does not need a wooden die or an iron mold, it can cope by low cost. The short appointed date of delivery for a little mass production product or a one-off product to be produced. A thought of "Cost reduction appears if we do mass production" will disappear.
The time when we can offer lower cost to a customer even for a little mass production product or a one-off product, will be coming soon if a market spreads out.
Therefore I thought, not only producing a model from 3D data provided by a designer (like our present duties), but also improving the technology to produce 3D data itself, will lead us for another type of industry entry, order expansion. There is 3D data first! In the user meeting place, an introduction of scanning machines was also performed. I felt that collaboration with the best prototyping machine and the best scanning machine could create the best products.
We use materials of Nylon 12 for our prototyping machine. Have you ever seen this letter of "Nylon 12"? In fact, this material is included in a men's shaving lotion for better shaving. I heard that this material is included in women's foundation, too. (Please check an ingredients list of a container's label.)
The EOS proved that this material does not harm the human body, and is producing an artificial human bone with prototyping machine. There seem to be some examples in Europe. Prototyping machine will play an active part in the near future in a medical field in Japan, and the day may come when Nagasaka Co., Ltd. saves the lives of people. I think that knowledge, technology, the business that can support the other type of industry will be demanded without being seized with only a product and work of the present company. I also think that having a customer know its true value of a machine itself will be able to change the time (a production general idea).

They say that this industry does not come out to many lists with a technical aspect, but it would be the same thing as other industries.
With added value of the technology cultivated by Nagasaka Co., Ltd. in the field of "the making of thing", we have to emphasize for differentiation with other companies and must make an effort. OK, let's do its best together!
It is said that getting out condition is difficult as for the shape that shrinkage is intense such as a heater case.
The day when Matsu-san tells announcement of a heater case in English entirely in a presentation meeting place of EOS is not so long.
