How large can the work size be for rapid prototyping? |
FDM (Fused Deposition Modeling) can generate it by W355 x D406 x H406mm at the maximum size. SLS (Selective Laser Sintering) has the biggest specifications of W700 x D380 x H580mm, but the shrinkage will occur due to a characteristic of materials. So, the maximum size is W630 x D340 x H520mm.
However, there would be an error depending on the shape of product. In addition, it is possible to generate a case beyond the maximum size by second processing.

How precise is the dimension of rapid prototyping? |
Though it is different depending on its size and shape, for a rough idea, by the FDM (Fused Deposition Modeling) in the work size of less than 100mm, the error will be less than 0.1mm, and in the work size of more than 100mm, the error will be 0.1% of the work size. By the SLS (Selective Laser Sintering) in the work size of less than 100mm, the error will be less than 0.2~0.3mm, and in the work size of more than 100mm, the error will be 0.2~0.3% of the work size. |

What kind of materials can be used for rapid prototyping? |
For the FDM (Fused Deposition Modeling), ABS resin (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) and Polycarbonate can be used.
For the SLS (Selective Laser Sintering), Nylon and Nylon with glass (30%) can be used.

What about air-tightness of the SLS (Selective Laser Sintering)? |
We perform an air-tightness test in own company.

What about the heat resistance of the prototype? |
The heat resistance of the FDM (Fused Deposition Modeling) with ABS resin is up to 80°C, and up to 120°C with Polycarbonate.
SLS (Selective Laser Sintering) with Nylon is up to 100~110°C, and up to 110~120°C in the case of Nylon with glass. |
